How it works properly

In production, the Kill Switch is not a button on a website. It is a signed cryptographic message sent to the enclave via a dedicated admin channel. Once received, the enclave:

Instantly drops all active signing connections
Wipes session keys from memory
Writes a "HALT" event to the immutable audit log
Requires a multi-sig ceremony to reboot
